One person was rescued from his vehicle Wednesday night after it went into the bank area of a canal near Beeline Highway and Indiantown Road, Palm Beach County Fire Rescue said.
The incident happened around 8:38 p.m.
First arriving crews reported a two-vehicle crash with one vehicle in a canal and the second vehicle in a nearby swale area, according to fire officials. Rescue divers were deployed into the canal and confirmed that everyone was out of the vehicle.
The second vehicle in the swale area had one person still trapped inside and firefighters had to cut the person out.
One patient, a man, was transported to a local area hospital for his injuries.
