Florida sees 4,000 coronavirus case spike

Florida health officials reported over 4,000 new cases of coronavirus in the state.

The Florida Department of Health reported that Florida 752,481 total cases, a 4,044 case increase from Friday.

Health officials also reported that Florida has 16,118 total coronavirus-related deaths, up 88 from the day before. Palm Beach County reported nine new deaths, Martin and St. Lucie Counties each reported one new death.

Palm Beach County

  • Total cases: 48,870
  • Resident cases: 48,433
  • Deaths: 1,487

Martin County

  • Total cases: 5,167
  • Resident cases: 5,135
  • Deaths: 154

St. Lucie County

  • Total cases: 8,562
  • Resident cases: 8,533
  • Deaths: 316

Indian River County

  • Total cases: 3,520
  • Resident cases: 3,493
  • Deaths: 122

Okeechobee County

  • Total cases: 1,663
  • Resident cases: 1,658
  • Deaths: 37
