Police are investigating a shooting in downtown West Palm Beach after shots rang out over the weekend.

According to West Palm Beach Police, two vehicles blocked traffic on Olive Ave. at Clematis St. on Sunday around 4 a.m.

Several people were standing outside of the vehicles, causing congestion. Officers say they approached the vehicles, signaled them to move, and several people entered the cars and drove north toward Banyan Blvd.

According to West Palm Beach Police, a person in one of the cars unlawfully shot several rounds from a handgun into the air.

No injuries were reported.
