Tracking Isaias..Strengthens slightly with top winds 70 mph

Isaias has strengthened slightly. At 5pm top winds are 70 mph with gusts to 85 mph.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 115 miles from the center of the storm.

A wind advisory replaces the Tropical Storm Warning on the Treasure Coast. High surf advisory remains in effect for the Palm Beach County Coast.

There were trees and power-lines down in the North End of West Palm Beach. CBS12 News reporter Chuck Weber was at the scene.

Damage assessments are underway throughout West Palm Beach, according to city officials. The City of West Palm Beach State of Emergency declaration will be lifted at 12:01 a.m. on Au. 3. The City’s Emergency Operations Center activation status has been downgraded from Level 1 (for Isaias) to Level 2 (for COVID-19). Please continue to shelter in place until the ‘all clear’ is given by local authorities.

The Florida Department of Transportation intends to reopen the Roosevelt Bridge at 2 p.m. Sunday as the storm continues to move north.

A Weatherflow site recorded a 41 mph wind gust in Juno Beach. Another site recorded a 59 mph gust at the Dania Beach pier.
