There is a search for an escaped inmate in Palm Beach County.

The Department of Corrections issued an alert for 38-year-old Jeremy S. Young.

Authorities said he escaped from the West Palm Beach Community Release Center just after 12 p.m. on Tuesday. The DOC said it immediately notified the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.

According to the Department of Corrections, Young is serving time for convictions out of Pasco County for burglary, fraud and trafficking in stolen property.

Call 911 if you see him.

"The Department’s community work details teach inmates valuable skills and provide job placement, which is critical to keeping offenders from returning to prison and reducing victimization in Florida’s communities. These work details also provide a cost-savings to local communities," according to the Office of Communications.

The DOC says its recapture rate is 96 percent, and escapes are down 74 percent between FY 2010- FY 2015.
