Things can change in a matter of minutes.
WEAR-TV reporter Rebekah Castor, just before the sun went down, showed a number of folks enjoying the sun and the sand in Vero Beach as Isaias approached Florida's coastline.
About 20 minutes later, Castor had her rain jacket on. The beaches emptied, except for the sea turtle nests.
City leaders expect the beaches to reopen around noon on Sunday after Isaias moves up the coast.
Shelters in Indian River County opened at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
