The City of West Palm Beach Canvassing Board decides to move forward with machine recount in the race for West Palm Beach Mayor.

Commissioner Keith James won with a majority of the vote (50.38) although it was not within the threshold of .5% so under Florida statute it will move forward with recount against commissioner Paula Ryan.

The board will perform logic and accuracy tests on the machines, take a recess until 1 p.m. and then will begin the recounting process.

Wendy Link, the new Palm Beach County supervisor of elections, said the entire recount should take three to four hours.
