Monroe County Sheriff's deputies arrested a man Thursday night who had quite an appetite.

Deputies say 37-year-old Melvin Stubbs caused $1,000 in damages after he chewed off and/or ate a piece of a patrol car backseat after deputies found over 40 grams of cocaine in his possession.

Deputies were conducting traffic stops around Mile Marker 59, when they stopped Stubbs for having illegal window tints. They saw that Stubbs had a warrant and arrested him.

Stubbs is charged with cocaine trafficking, resisting arrest, and property damage.
