The Florida Department of Health is taking new steps to stop the spread of Hepatitis A.

Experts launched an awareness and prevention campaign by putting ads at gas stations and convenience stores in Martin County.

The health department is offering free Hep A vaccines for uninsured, underinsured, and at-risk adults on Thursday afternoon in Indiantown. The free vaccinations will be given between 4:30 p.m. through 7 p.m. at the health department, located at 16401 SW Farm Road.
