A woman is facing DUI and child neglect charges after police say she caused a 3-car crash in Boca Raton with a child in the back seat.

The crash happened Tuesday afternoon along North Dixie Highway.

Police said Elyse Tilley changed lanes and crashed into another car. She had an 11-month-old boy in a child restrain device in the back seat that was not properly installed, the report said.

The little boy suffered bumps to his head and went to West Boca Regional Hospital for treatment.

Officers on scene said Tilley kept twitching and scratching herself. One officer said she appeared to be impaired on some type of medication. She told officers she took lorazapam.

Police found a number of prescription pills in her car. She claimed some belonged to her roommate, according to the report. Officers gave her roadside breath tests which registered .000 on both occasions.

Tilley is also facing charges of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription. She is out on bond.
