Port St. Lucie police are asking for the public's help in finding a burglary suspect.

Last Friday around 7:50 p.m., an unknown suspect smashed the rear slider of a home on NW Bentley Circle, according to police. Video surveillance captured the suspect entering the home and quickly leaving. He's described as a black man between 20 to 25 years old, with a thin build and short haircut. Police say he was wearing a light colored sweatshirt, light colored pants, sneakers and gloves.

Police believe the homeowner walked into the front of the house and the suspect fled to avoid being scene.

This incident is one of eight burglaries that have happened in Port St. Lucie last Friday, according to police. In three of those incidents, a suspect vehicle was seen: a silver/gray BMW sedan with dark tinted windows with the tag JMJJ39 or JMJ39J.
