A second suspect has been arrested in connection to a violent purse robbery at a McDonald's in Okeechobee.
The sheriff's office arrested 45-year-old Christina Alexis Stratton. She's the wife of suspect Charles Stratton Jr.
On Dec. 6, investigators said Mr. Stratton grabbed a 76-year-old woman's purse inside the restaurant, ran outside and hopped into a minivan to drive away. Mrs. Stratton was a passenger in the minivan, and when Stratton pulled away, he dragged the woman in the parking lot before running her over. The incident was caught on camera.
Mr. Stratton told investigators he stole the cash to buy crack cocaine.
Christina Stratton is being held on warrants for robbery by sudden snatching, grand theft and aggravated battery with a motor vehicle.
