A small plane crashed at the Boca Raton airport.

Boca Fire Rescue says the plane had two people on board. One person is being taken to the hospital as a trauma alert. Police said one person had minor injuries.

Boca Raton Police say Airport Road between Cinemark and NW 40th St. is closed as a result of the incident.

The FAA told CBS12 News the plane crashed as it left the airport at 10:32 a.m. The pilot was returning to land at the airport when the plane crashed near a hangar.
