Have you gone bananas over the Art Basel banana?

Well, someone just ate it.

According to CBS News, the banana duct-taped to a wall, a piece created by Italian artist Maurizio Cattelan and is titled “The Comedian,” sold for $120,000 at Miami's Art Basel this week.

The Maimi Herald reported the man who ate the banana was David Datuna, a New York-based performing artist. Datuna was escorted out of the convention center after the incident. The gallery owner, Emmanuel Perrotin, was given a replacement banana by a fairgoer and replaced the banana.
