The railroad crossing at Toney Penna Drive in Jupiter will be completely close, starting Jan. 18 at 7 a.m.
Town of Jupiter officials say the area will be closed to "facilitate railroad crossing upgrades as part of the Brightline expansion of its high speed rail project from West Palm Beach to Orlando." The area will remain closed until Thursday, Jan. 28 at 7 p.m.
Below is a list of detours to take during the closure:
- Eastbound Toney Penna Drive traffic wishing to access Alternate A1A will be directed to travel north on Military Trail to Indiantown Road, travel east on Indiantown Road to access Alternate A1A.
- Alternate A1A traffic wishing to travel west on Toney Penna Drive will be directed to travel north on Alternate A1A to Indiantown Road, travel west on Indiantown Road to Military Trail and travel south on Military Trail to access Toney Penna Drive.
- Southbound Old Dixie Highway traffic wishing to access Alternate A1A will be directed to travel east on Indiantown Road to Alternate A1A.
- Northbound Old Dixie Highway traffic will be directed to travel west on Jupiter Lakes Boulevard to Military Trail, travel north on Military Trail to Indiantown Road and travel east on Indiantown Road to access Old Dixie Highway.
The railroad crossing at Donald Ross Road in Palm Beach Gardens is currently closed, according to town officials. It will reopen on Sunday, Jan. 17 before the closure of Toney Penna Drive.
