BRANDON, Fla. (WPEC) – Break out your tissue boxes.

An elderly couple was reunited after 215 days of being apart because of the coronavirus pandemic.

The Rosecastle at Delaney Creek assisted living facility posted the heartfelt video on their Facebook page on Thursday.

According to a spokesperson for Rosecastle, the couple was initially separated in March, the spokesperson said. The husband, 80-year old Joseph was in rehab when his wife, 80-year-old Eve, moved into the facility in August.

The couple persevered through phone calls and window visits. Once Joseph graduated from the rehabilitation program, he was able to see his wife.

They have been married for over 60 years. They have five children and numerous grandchildren. Eve says she stopped counting after 10 or 12, the spokesperson said.
