A cold front will move into the area today, bringing a lot of changes for the weekend.
Cooler air will be sliding into south Florida through the morning. Most of us will actually see temperatures falling as the day starts, high temperatures will be near 70 degrees Friday afternoon. We stay cool Sunday and even into Monday as well, with overnight lows in the 50s and 60s and highs near 70.
This front will bring a mostly cloudy sky through Friday morning and into Saturday. Scattered showers will be likely each day as well. Expect more sunshine on Sunday.
The winds will be picking up significantly throughout the weekend as well. Expect a north wind by Friday at noon at 20 miles-per-hour, with gusts up to 30-40 at times. Winds will turn northeast on Saturday, allowing showers to move onshore throughout the day, with speeds near 20 mph.
Expect very rough conditions at the beaches. Waves will break anywhere from 10 to 14 feet on Friday and Saturday. There will be a very high risk of rip currents, along with small craft advisories.
