MOSCA, Colo. (SBG) — Alligators sunbathing in the snow? At a gator farm in Colorado, that's just what happens. The owner of the farm calls them "snow gators".

"Snow gators are real. Our gators will sun bathe after it snows. Truly amazing animals," the owner of Colorado Gator Farm wrote on Facebook.

The Colorado Gator Farm is located on a geothermal well in Southern Colorado that keeps the water at a temperature of 87 degrees, thus allowing the alligators to thrive in the cold.

Hundreds of alligators and other unwanted exotic pets have found a home at the farm since it opened in 1990, according to the website for the gator farm.
