LAS VEGAS (KSNV) -- Las Vegas pigeon rescue and advocacy group Lofty Hopes has caught one of the cowboy pigeons that went viral following a Facebook post originally created by Bobby Lee.

Lofty Hopes has been tracking the pigeon, named Cluck Norris, along with his hat-wearing companion Coolamity Jane for the past couple of weeks since the viral post.

The group says they caught Norris Monday and that it will continue trying to capture Jane on Tuesday.

A group spokesperson said over the phone that the cowboy hat on Norris is glued on and that an attempt to remove the hat revealed that it might harm the pigeon.

Norris has an appointment with a veterinarian Tuesday morning to see about getting rid of his 10-gallon appendage.

The yeehaw moment came amidst the National Finals Rodeo.

The video was shared by popular social media profiles covering the Las Vegas area like @LasVegasLocally who helped Lofty Hopes spread the word about finding the cowboy pigeons.
