Free-agent wide receiver Antonio Brown has been suspended eight games by the NFL for violating the league's personal conduct policy.
Brown, who played one game for the Patriots in 2019 is free to sign with any team and allowed to participate in all preseason events. The suspension would take effect on September 5.
It's been a rough year for the former Steelers pro-bowler as he was released by both the Raiders and Patriots and had his relationship with his agent terminated.
Brown was also accused of rape by a former trainer and had a warrant issued for his arrest for burglary and battery after Brown reportedly pulled a truck driver out of his truck at his Hollywood home.
Brown seemed to announce his retirement from the NFL in a series of tweets last week.
