The worst thing that can happen in a preseason game is injury.

And the Dolphins' preseason keeps getting worse.

In Thursday night's preseason opener against Atlanta, rookie middle linebacker Raekwon McMillan was injured on his first play in the NFL - a Dolphin punt in the first quarter. McMillan appeared to run into a teammate. He immediately went down, but walked off under his own power.

Our CBS partners in Miami are reporting that it is an ACL injury, and the Dolphins fear it is season-ending.

McMillan was expected to start as a rookie at middle linebacker. The Dolphins are perilously thin at the position, after losing Koa Misi this offseason. If the Dolphins lose McMillan and do not add a linebacker, Mike Hull would be the logical fill-in.

McMillan was a second round draft pick out of Ohio State.

The Dolphins have all ready lost quarterback Ryan Tannehill to a knee injury as well this offseason.
