Jupiter Island residents Tiger Woods and Dustin Johnson are happy to be healthy at the Masters.
And now that Masters week is here, so is the most intense Tiger Woods buzz in years.
Woods is one of the favorites to win this coming Sunday, but Johnson was almost as happy as Woods to be back at the Masters.
Johnson is extra focused on this year’s trip to Augusta after what was a disastrous Wednesday before the Masters last year, where he fell down the stairs of his Masters residence and was unable to play after his practice round.
“It was definitely frustrating because I was playing so well coming in here," Johnson said. "But that was a year ago, so none of that matters. I’m feeling great this year coming in.”
But no Masters comeback could possibly beat the one many are hoping Tiger Woods has in store. The buzz started right on the practice green late Monday afternoon when Woods arrived and quickly turned into a roar as he approached the first tee for his practice round.
“Everyone loves seeing that flop shot,” Day said of Woods’ abilities. “And no one likes to see that little chip shop. And he does those big flat shots. He makes things exciting.”
“I think the tournament, if Tiger's around, is better,” says defending Masters champion Sergio Garcia. “There’s more expectations and more hype around it which is great.”
