A big trade in the NFL.

The Miami Dolphins traded running back Jay Ajayi to the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Dolphins get a 4th round pick.

Ajayi is in his third season in the NFL, all with the Dolphins, after being drafted out of Boise State. He is 13th in the NFL in rushing with 465 rushing yards in seven games. He had a great second season with 1272 yards.

Ajayi had one of the most prolific seasons ever for a running back in Dolphins history last year, with three two 200 yard rushing games, but reports from within the locker room say that Ajayi was feuding with coaches and last Friday Gase called out Ajayi publicly for his poor play. He had failed to score a touchdown this season in 7 games.

The Dolphins have two running backs with NFL experience on the roster in Kenyan Drake and Damien Williams. The Dolphins are averaging 13 points per game - by far the worst in the NFL.
