Miami Dolphins closed out minicamp Thursday and one Palm Beach County native knows just how important the next 7 weeks are away from the team - he'll need to work hard to earn a job on the Fins' offensive line.

Avery Young was a star recruit coming out of Palm Beach Gardens High School in 2012. He was a standout player at Auburn but did not go in the 2016 NFL Draft.

After missing all of last year with a non-football injury, Young has been signed by the Dolphins, essentially a rookie even though he's one year out of college. The long-time tackle has been working out at guard, and hopes he can find a spot in the rotation of his hometown team.

Head coach Adam Gase said earlier in the week, that having a relationship with Avery's brother, Bears linebacker Willie Young, was a big reason why he's taking a chance on Avery.
