It’s a short week for the Miami Dolphins after their loss in Pittsburgh on Monday night.
But now their focus had completely shifted to the New York Jets on Wednesday morning according to Head Coach Brian Flores.
“I’ve turned the page from the Pittsburgh game,” said Flores. "We are onto the Jets. That’s what our focus is. We talked about that this morning as a team, that was the message.”
The Dolphins will be facing a head coach they’ve also turned the page on this Sunday when they host their former head coach, Adam Gase, who’s also struggling with a 1-6 New York Jets team. Still, Flores knows what his Dolphins will be up against as they battle for their first win of the season.
“Gase does a very good job of putting his players in a position to make plays,” says Flores. “He tried to attack defenses, defensive schemes, personnel if he feels like there’s a matchup he likes. He’s a tough guy to draw up defenses against, so this will be a tough test for us.”
The Dolphins and Jets kick off at 1 p.m. on Sunday on CBS12.
