A young and talented American Heritage Delray football team hosted their kick off classic against Palm Beach Gardens on Friday night, looking to prove they're a team that will bounce back from last year's 2-7 season.

The Gators got off to a fast start when quarterback David Studstill found Armani Heyes in the endzone with the perfect pass.

The Stallions struck back with two unanswered touchdowns from from Dalis Smalls and Macangelo Joseph to win the two quarter scrimmage 14-7.

Meanwhile, Atlantic High School and Blanche Ely almost took the entire first half to get on the scoreboard, but Javone Jackson's impressive touchdown snag to end the half would not hold up in a 20-16 loss.

Palm Beach Central spoiled brand new Sebastian River Head Coach Chuck Kenyon's debut with a 35-14 win in their kickoff classic. C J Stewart scored two touchdowns in the first half alone for Palm Beach Central.

Meanwhile, Miami star Ahmmon Richard's little brother Mark Anthiny Richards' touchdown runs were in mid-season form, as the Wellington Wolverines beat Boynton Beach 14-12.
