High school football teams in Palm Beach County are back at it this week - after two weeks of no school, no games and no practice because of Hurricane Irma.

For two squads in particular, they're coming back with a bang, to play one of the area's biggest rivalries.

Palm Beach Gardens is back - preparing for its biggest rival - as the Gators try to end an 8 game losing streak to Dwyer.

Gardens was one of the most impressive teams in Palm Beach County before Irma and they've been shrugging the rust off the last two days. But the players told me, all they could do was think about football, while the storm kept them off the field.

Gardens is the one coming in with a better record this year. Dwyer Head Coach Jack Daniels, when asked if he thought this was one of the best Gardens teams he's faced he said "You'll have to ask them, I know they think they do."

Meanwhile, Dwyer defensive back Carl Willis says he knows it will be a long year if they can't beat their cross-town rival.

You can watch the game live on CW 34 on Friday night at 7pm, as the Friday Night Rivals broadcast.
