With Oxbridge Academy ending its football program, a treasure trove of talent is now being released into the South Florida High School Football landscape.

Tuesday the quarterback of the Thunderwolves announced his landing spot.

Former CBS12 Athlete of the Week Gio Richardson announced on Twitter that he will transfer to Palm Beach Central for his senior season. The Florida Atlantic commit threw for 24 touchdowns and ran for 9 more last season, leading Oxbridge to the Class 3A title game.

Last month, Oxbridge shut down its football program following a rash of transfers and lack of interest.

Palm Beach Central now becomes a state title contender. The Broncos now have some top prospects including five-star cornerback and FSU commit Akeem Dent, four-star wide receiver Bryan Robinson and University of Miami offensive lineman commit Renato Brown.
