Lynn University in Boca Raton has won 23 national championships, but because of their Division Two status, the program doesn't get much recognition on the national landscape.

Their athletic director has some big ideas on how to change that this year - by making the Big Boys come to them.

"We don't identify ourselves as a D2 school," says Lynn AD Devin Crosby. "We're Lynn University - the most innovative school in the world."

And Drosby's latest innovation for the athletic program is bringing Division 1 programs to his campus.

"We're in South Florida, one of the most amazing places in the world, why not take advantage of the winter time and bring down some of these teams?"

It's called the South Florida Showdown, and big time schools like the University of Houston, Seton Hall, Georgetown and Eastern Michigan will all be sending teams to Lynn to play this year.

And for each South Florida Showdown game, there will be a South Florida tailgate, giveaways, and wagers with presidents and ADs.

"We do brilliant amazing things at Lynn, but we also like to have fun."

Crosby is very active on social media, and he's all ready teasing FAU AD Patrick Chun on twitter, writing: ". @pat_chun - Let me know what seats you'd like for me to reserve for game 1 of #SoFloShow." and attaching pictures from Lynn's outdoor stadium. The first game of the South Florida Showdown is FAU vs. Lynn womens soccer on August 16th.

Lynn is not your typical Division 2 school - they have a one million dollar deal with Adidas, by far the biggest apparel deal for any D-2 program.

And their latest venture is another way to show that innovation.

"We believe through the South Florida Showdown that we can prove you can do anything if you have an amazing culture."

Just getting the teams to agree to come down is an amazing feat, so what's next? Crosby says he believes Lynn will win all the games.
