Veteran wide receiver Allen Hurns practiced with his new team Friday morning
The Miami Dolphins have added to what was already their deepest position, signing veteran receiver Allen Hurns. The former University of Miami had been released from the Dallas Cowboys, where he was slated to make $5 million this season. It’s being reported that the Dolphins have signed him for up to $3 million for one year.
Hurns suffered a broken left ankle in the Cowboys’ wild-card playoff game against Seattle last year, and had career-low stats, with 20 catches for 295 yards and two touchdowns. The 27-year-old's best season was in 2015 with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Hurns was wearing number 86 as he took to the practice field on Friday morning, ready to compete with the likes of Kenny Stills, Albert Wilson, Jakeem Grant and Devante Parker. Stay tuned to CBS 12 News for fall camp coverage starting at 5 p.m.
