Ryan Tannehill chose rehab over surgery to fix his injured knee this offseason, and as the Dolphins finished up their first week of OTAs, Tannehill said his knee feels "100 percent".
But in the first OTA practice that was open to the media, Tannehill was wearing a brace on his left knee. Tannehill says it's only to protect against future injury, and he will be wearing it all season long.
There's no contact during OTAs, but Tannehill says he's wearing it just to get used to having it on when the season starts. He says that it does not impact his maneuverability whatsoever.
Despite that big contraption on Tannehill's left leg, head coach Adam Gase said Thursday that Tannehill looks just like the player he saw, he doesn't believe Tannehill has lost a step.
But Gase is trying to avoid any accidents during these OTAs, he's given the defensive line a very important rule to follow. "Stay away from Ryan Tannehill," said defensive end Andre Branch.
