Greg Angel joined the WPEC CBS 12 team in November 2014 as a general assignment reporter.
For more than four years, Greg worked in Floridas capital city of Tallahassee, working his way through the ranks to eventually become Morning Anchor/Assistant News Director at the ABC affiliate.
He has covered politics extensively, providing in-depth coverage from the 2012 Republican National Convention in Tampa and the 2012 Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, North Carolina. Greg also covered the local impact of the 2010 Gulf Oil Spill, including President Obamas visit to the area.
A native of Charleston, South Carolina, Greg has also called Michigan home for 11 years where he got his start in broadcasting at WSDP radio and later worked for several years as a reporter at Northern Michigans NBC affiliate. His work has garnered awards from various organizations including the Michigan Association of Broadcasters, Florida Associated Press and National Broadcasting Society.
Greg is a graduate of Central Michigan University and a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity.
