Five people were killed early Sunday morning in a crash in Boca Raton.
According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, a 2013 Hyundai Genesis was traveling at a high rate of speed eastbound on Camino Real.
A 2014 Mercedes was traveling westbound on Camino Real. As the Hyundai neared the intersection, the driver lost control, according to investigators.
Six passengers in the Hyundai were ejected from the car. The Hyundai landed upside down on top of the Mercedes before both vehicles came to a rest.
The driver and passenger in the Mercedes were taken to Delray Medical Center where they were pronounced dead.
The driver, front passenger, and one of the rear passengers in the Hyundai were pronounced dead at the scene.
The five other passengers in the Hyundai were taken to hospitals with serious injuries.
