While speeding away, Cancel caused a crash which shut down the eastbound lanes of Port St. Lucie Boulevard for about an hour.

No one was hurt.

Cancel, according to police, admitted to taking Suboxone, which is a prescription medication to treat opioid addiction.

Police say Cancel faces numerous charges including grand theft of a motor vehicle and DUI.
