Police say a man who had his driver's license revoked five years ago caused a 5-car pileup in Port St. Lucie.
Police said Daniel Cancel stole a work van on SE Crosspoint Drive around lunchtime on Tuesday.
While speeding away, Cancel caused a crash which shut down the eastbound lanes of Port St. Lucie Boulevard for about an hour.
No one was hurt.
Cancel, according to police, admitted to taking Suboxone, which is a prescription medication to treat opioid addiction.
Police say Cancel faces numerous charges including grand theft of a motor vehicle and DUI.
