A small plane crashed at Lantana Airport Tuesday afternoon, the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office said.
The incident happened at 3:30 p.m., according to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). A Cessna 172 skidded into a pond ff the end of Runway 10.
There were two people on board at the time, but they were not injured, Palm Beach County Fire Rescue said. The plane had a small fuel leak, which firefighters were able to quickly stop.
The FAA is headed to the airport to investigate. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) will determine the probable cause of the accident.
