Man from Lake Worth arrested for robbery, faces potential hate crime enhancement: PBSO

Deputies said on April 27, when they arrived they learned that 34-year-old Daniel Scanlan, hit a man from behind, removed his black yarmulke — an Orthodox Jewish skullcap — and proceeded to call him a slur. Scanlan continued and spat into the yarmulke, threw it on the ground and hit the victim again. (PBSO)
